One bed self catering apartment in our working sheep , cattle, and hand crafts farm with stunning views of Newgrange burial grave. Strictly no pets. We are located 500metres from Bru Na Boinne Newgrange and Knowth visitors centre, 5 min drive to Donore Village (local shop , pub, restaurant and takeaway)10 minutes from Drogheda town, 30 min from Dublin and less than 90 minutes from Belfast .We are in a great location for exploring the Boyne Valley . We have Starlink Internet with speeds of mim 70mbps

Eileen30 December 2023We absolutely loved our brief stay in Alison and Pat’s cottage in Donore. It was a very cold and damp night in late December and I was worried we might be a bit cold but the cottage was SO warm, comfortable and cosy. Also a lovely hot shower in the morning. With such close proximity to Newgrange we were able to avail of a last minute cancellation at the monument in the morning. Would have liked more time to explore the gift shop and go for a walk in the area. Next time hopefully.Verified

Loresia3 November 2023What a charming and fun experience staying on a sheep farm was! As an animal lover, I was in absolute heaven.... And what a view!!! A passage tomb outside your kitchen window! The accommodation are even better than the pictures! Cottage was charming and clean. Hosts were the best! If staying at this property, I'd highly recommend holding off on buying a ton of souvenirs until you get there, The Leck Farm giftshop has a selection of great souvenirs/ gifts made by locals that are far better than anything I saw at other giftshops along my travels.Verified
Jacinta1 November 2023I wish we could have spent more time here; the farm is peaceful and private and the view of Newgrange from the kitchen window is perfect. Alison, the host, was very helpful and responsive to messages. Instructions were clear and self check-in was easy and convenient because we arrived very late after attending a festival.The apartment was clean and comfortable, with plenty of room for two people. Be sure to visit their lovely gift shop, too!
The Space
Our farm has been in the family for 5 generations. Here in the heart of the Boyne valley we keep a flock of prize winning Jacob sheep and process their wool on site in our craft centre. The farm is set in a Unisco World Heritage site including Newgrange and Knowth. The area is rich in historical interest including a remarkable variety of cave hieroglyphics.

The apartment is joining the main farmhouse with kitchen/living room and bedroom with 1 double bed ensuite with original stone walls and roof beams exposed along with all modern comforts. Now offering WiFi with speedsof minimum 10mbps
